Manchester City has signed Stefan Ortega Moreno on a free transfer ahead of next season. The German goalkeeper signed a three years contract with the Cityzens.
The German shotstopper will be the second goalkeeper to Ederson next season with USMNT goalkeeper Zack Steffen set to leave on loan while Scott Carson will remain as the third choice.
Manchester City released an official statement on their website to announce the signing of Stefan Ortega Moreno.
“Manchester City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega Moreno on a three-year deal. The 29-year-old has joined the Club on a free transfer after his contract at Arminia Bielefeld expired,” the club confirm.
“The experienced German bolsters Cityβs goalkeeping options and becomes the second signing of the summer, following Erling Haaland to the Club. He will wear the number 18 shirt.
“The move is subject to international clearance ahead of him joining up with the squad this month ahead of preseason.
