British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has changed his opinion on Arsenal star, Kai Havertz after the Germany international ended his scoring drought during the Gunners’ Premier League 4-0 away win against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Goals from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Havertz and Ben White gave Arsenal the victory over Bournemouth Vitality Stadium.
Havertz, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in a £65 million deal, scored his first goal for Mikel Arteta’s side in the 53rd minute from the penalty spot.
This breakthrough came as Havertz faced a challenging period on the pitch, failing to deliver assists or goals since joining the North London club in the summer.
Prior to Havertz’s goal, Morgan had expressed reservations about the 24-year-old, casting doubt on the prudence of his acquisition.
The die-hard Arsenal fan took to X earlier in the match, questioning the decision to sign Havertz.
However, in an unambiguous reversal of opinion, Morgan was quick to tweet this following Havertz’s goal: “Havertz scores! Never doubted him.”
