Diabetes often affects male sexual health. One complication it causes is ED which is a condition where a man is unable to achieve or maintain an erection. Study shows that men with diabetes have greater chances of having erectile issues.

2. Damage to Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

Another complication caused by diabetes is damage of ANS which lead to sexual difficulties in men. High blood sugar level can damage blood vessels and nerves needed to achieve an erection. This is another common cause of ED among males with diabetes.

3. Retrograde ejaculation

It is common to see men with diabetes facing retrograde ejaculation which is a condition where semen is released into the bladder during sexual activity. The man may begin to observe that he releases lesser semen during intimacy.

4. Lower testosterone level. This may be also caused by diabetes. Lower testosterone causes men to lose interest in intercourse, feel tired easily or depression. Aging may cause lower testosterone levels , however diabetes and obesity may also be the culprits. Lower testosterone levels may also lead to ED and other sexual problems
