Tornadoes coach thumbs up officiating despite defeat by Abia Warriors

Niger Tornadoes head coach, Abdulazeez Abara has commended the officiating at his team’s matchday one encounter against Abia Warriors on Saturday.

The Ikon Allah Boys suffered a 1-0 defeat in their clash against Abia Warriors at the Umuahia Township stadium.

John Peter got the lone goal in the second half of the encounter.

Abara admitted that his team failed to take advantage of the chances they created in the game.

“Abia Warriors are a good side,” he said in his post-match interview.

“We missed several scoring chances which could have changed the narrative of the game.

“The officiating was good and I hope the officials will continue like this.”
