What Women Should Do to their Vàgina Immediately After Séx

One of the most important areas women should give careful attention to is their sexual health, and that includes knowing what to do immediately after intimacy to keep the vàgina among other reproductive organs healthy. In line with an article by WebMD, here are some tips on what women should do immediately after sexual activity:

1. Quickly Urinate: Emptying the bladder immediately after sharing a moment with your partner should be prioritized because it helps to flush out any bacteria and germs that may have entered the urethra during intimacy, hence reducing the risk of developing urinary tract infections (UTI).

2. Clean up and wash up: Immediately after intimacy, women are often advised to use warm water and non-fragrant soap to wash off excess sweat and bacteria that may be deposited around the external portion of their genitalia.

3. Change into clean, dry, and loose-fitting clothing: Changing out damp or sweaty clothing and undergarments immediately after intimacy could help minimise the overgrowth of moisture-loving microbes like yeast in and around the genital area that can cause infection.

4. Consume foods rich in probiotics: Consuming foods like yoghurt, soybeans, cheese, fruits, and vegetables after intimacy can help replenish the body’s good bacteria, decreasing your risk of a yeast infection.
